EMS Division
Atascocita Emergency Medical Service is committed to provide the highest quality prehospital care to our citizens and others working in and passing through the Atascocita area. The professional care we provide is achieved through the dedication of 50 highly trained and committed volunteer and paid staff. Atascocita VFD provides prehospital emergency care utilizing the latest in cutting edge equipment, apparatus, and protocols.

Our relationship with area hospitals has given us the opportunity to play a part in successful patient outcomes related to Heart Attacks and Strokes by applying the latest treatments with the latest technology and equipment advances.

Atascocita VFD averages 3000 calls for service annually; this number continues to increase as our community grows. We currently house three MICU with BLS capability ambulances across the district; two of which are staffed 24/7. The third ambulance is currently used as a backup unit for high call volume periods and will be put in service this summer as a regular peak truck when we receive delivery of a fourth brand new ambulance.

We are also committed to serving our community by offering training classes and participating in public relations events. Atascocita VFD' training division provides education and skills training to our staff as well as to the community. CPR training is given monthly for citizens interested in becoming certified. We also participate in multiple public relations events across the community throughout the year.

As the Atascocita community continues to grow, more calls for service will be received and handled by our Department. Our commitment is to continue to serve our community and strive for excellence in prehospital emergency care.
