Atascocita Emergency Medical Service is committed to provide the highest quality prehospital care to our citizens and others working in and passing through the Atascocita area. The professional care we provide is achieved through the dedication of highly trained and committed paid and volunteer staff. Atascocita Fire Department provides prehospital emergency care utilizing the latest in cutting edge equipment, apparatus, and protocols.
Our relationship with area hospitals has given us the opportunity to play a part in successful patient outcomes related to Heart Attacks and Strokes by applying the latest treatments with the latest technology and equipment advances.
Atascocita Fire Department averages 5000 calls for service annually; this number continues to increase as our community grows. We currently house five MICU with BLS capability ambulances across the district; three of which are staffed 24/7. The fourth and fifth ambulances are currently used as a backup for high call volume periods and maintenance situations. Atascocita Fire Department also operates one of the States Mass Casualty and Mass Evacuation ambulance buses. This bus, AKA, AMBUS can hold 20 patients on litters and many more seated or in wheelchairs or car seats.
We are also committed to serving our community by offering training classes and participating in public relations events. Atascocita Fire Department training division provides education and skills training to our staff as well as to the community. CPR training is given several times monthly for citizens interested in becoming certified. We also participate in multiple public relations events across the community throughout the year.
As the Atascocita community continues to grow, more calls for service will be received and handled by our Department. Our commitment is to continue to serve our community and strive for excellence in prehospital emergency care.
