Atascocita Fire Department Swears in Seven new Probationary Firefighters

Humble, TX. (April 27, 2020) - Residents of the Atascocita area will soon see some new faces responding to their emergencies. While practicing social distancing in a small, impromptu gathering, seven cadets of the Atascocita Fire Department Training Academy were sworn in as Probationary Firefighters last Saturday. These volunteer members had completed three quarters of the Academy when the COVID-19 health crisis forced the department to postpone the remainder of the class. They took the initiative to complete their coursework at home and completed their final skills individually with Captain Franc Hemphill so that they could begin to serve their community during this uncertain time.
